This truly is the season to treat yourself.
I had the pleasure of visiting the M Resort Spa and Casino for a perfect spa day. Stepping foot in Spa Mio, you can feel the beginning of your treatment already starting. Even the waiting room is intimate, more of a luxurious concierge than a waiting room. When I walked in, i was greeted by a welcoming and friendly employee, who led me back to a comfortable changing and sitting room.
Obviously, complimentary fresh fruit, Cranberry spritzer, and lemon cucumber water were provided while I waited. I would recommend that Cranberry spritzer as it freshened me up before the spa treatments. One thing that keeps Spa Mio a part of the community, is the 25% discount they give all locals, provided a valid local ID.
When you decide to stop by for your services, you will instantly have access to all the amenities as well, the fitness room, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and pool are nothing to scoff off. After changing, I had the pleasure of spending some time with Jill, my massage therapist for the Mio Signature Massage.
The Mio Signature Massage is offered in 50 & 80 minutes- Completely indulge with this massage, including customized pressure, reflexology, and cranial-sacral techniques to provide complete relaxation to the body, accompanied by their signature fragrance. (current oil fragrance is calendula and orange myrtle) Speaking of their products, I know for myself skin care and moisturizing is a must in our dry arid climate.
And the products Spa Mio uses are something extraordinary, Osmosis + Beauty. They are all-natural, bio-identical, and holistic. Almost all products are patented and involve exclusive ingredients. Can I just say Jill was a fantastic massage therapist? She immediately made me feel at ease. The room was very cozy and relaxing. I walked in a knotted up pretzel and walked out human again. My second adventure for the day was receiving the Youth Defense Facial from Daisy, my esthetician.
The Youth Defense Facial is offered in 50 & 80 minutes- Protect and preserve your youthful skin with their skin-boosting facial. They use the latest technology of plant stem cells. This luxurious anti-aging treatment will awaken collagen production, giving a firmer, tighter, and more radiant complexion.
The environmental protective cream contains anti-free-radicals and anti-pollutants and shields the skin from aging aggressors. These also change based on the esthetician. Once the estheticians analyze your skin, they will use the best products customized to your skin type- i.e., dry, normal, oily, combination.
After this treatment, my skin felt moisturized and hydrated. I could honestly go on all day about this wonder treatment; Daisy was very knowledgeable in helping me find just the right products for my skincare regiment.
I don't need to tell you, ladies and gents, how important sunscreen is for your face even if you're going from building to car to a building. Osmosis + Beauty has a beautiful light feeling sunscreen that didn't make me feel like my pores were being clogged after my facial, like most sunscreens do.
